Treatment Approach
I work with both families and individuals to support people with all forms of eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Eating Disorder Not otherwise Specified (EDNOS) and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). I take a different approach with each individual client based on their age, diagnosis, severity, history and support network. I always work closely with psychologists, GPs, psychiatrists and the inpatient team (when hospitalization is needed). My youngest client with an ED is 8 and my eldest is 76. I work with clients across all demographics and histories of ED (including mild to severe, initial diagnosis to enduring).
While I would prefer to see clients face to face, I do also have tele-health facilities fully set up across all practice sites.
Profile
I grew up local to St George and Sutherland in Blakehurst (right on the border). I am an experienced eating disorder dietitian of just shy of 20 years . At the start of my career I worked at St George Hospital ending as the Clinical Educator (training final year Dietetic Students) at UoW. Following on, I was a lecturer at UoW into the Nutrition and Dietetics Course. I have been working privately in the St George and Sutherland Shire for the past 15 years.
My clinic is a team of 5 dietitians. I am currently only taking on new clients with an eating disorder, and leaving other clients to be supported by my team of experienced clinicians.
